eurocrete has years of experience improving floors within the food and beverage industry. That is why this fish processing client trusted eurocrete to transform their new production facility’s existing floors into food-safe, resistant floors that could withstand harsh cleaning and pressure.

The concrete floors needed a coating that would protect against water damage and cleaning chemical abrasion. As a fish processing plant, high amounts of water would be present during day-to-day operations. We lay eurocrete HF which is a completely waterproof ¼” thick heavy duty floor. It is positively textured to ensure slip resistance which was a high priority for this client to ensure the safety of their staff.

We recommended finishing the floors with eurocrete DBS. Using this product as a top coat gives the floors a smoother finish which makes cleaning much easier. Food processing facilities undergo regular cleaning so it was important that we came up with a solution that made this process as easy as possible. The easy to clean eurocrete DBS top coat saves them a great deal of time.

The facility has insulated wall panels to keep the area cold. Concrete was poured over the curbs to protect them against impact, which could damage the insulating panels, thus putting the entire plant at risk of being unsuitable for work. For added protection we applied eurocrete WR to the porous concrete curbs to further protect against damage.

In total, over 14,000 sq. ft. was improved with our industrial floor products and services. If you too have a new food or beverage processing plant that could benefit from our durable products, contact the eurocrete head office today.
